This past week (17/18 sept.), part of our team traveled to Finland to visit the facilities of Huld, the company responsible for developing the Application Software (ASW) that coordinates the ENVISS and OPIC instruments on ESA’s Comet Interceptor mission. The primary goal of this visit was the successful delivery of the Elegant BreadBoard 2 (EBB2) prototype. The EBB2 currently plays a critical role in the mission’s development.
During the visit, our team, alongside Huld’s technical experts, conducted a thorough functional verification of the EBB2 model. This milestone was crucial for ensuring the seamless integration of the prototype into Huld’s Software Validation Facility (SVF), where further testing will be conducted to validate its performance in real mission conditions.
The collaboration between Scitechss and Huld was marked by a strong sense of teamwork and shared technical expertise. The successful integration of EBB2 not only demonstrates the high level of competence of both teams but also opens the door for future collaborations in upcoming ESA missions and other space-related projects.
This visit highlights the importance of international cooperation in the development of cutting-edge technology for space exploration. Scitechss and Huld teams are optimistic about the potential for future partnerships, contributing to the continued success of the Comet Interceptor mission and beyond.”
